This is just the second of these this half term. Must find time to do it more regularly. Really important for children to hear positive comments about themselves. I won't mention that Charlotte is sometimes forgetful.
Today we were lucky enough to view and taste all of the wonderful work that the Panthers have done over the last two weeks. We were able to find out some interesting details that wouldn't have been covered during the unit.
Panthers enjoyed reading "I'll Take You To Mrs Cole" recently. The story told the tale of a young lad who was constantly in trouble and his mother continually issued hollow threats. The boy imagined what it would be like and eventually curiosity got the better of him and he decided to find out for himself. Like all picture books for children this age Mrs Cole was a bit different but actually really nice.
Panthers were challenged to mix fiction with fact to create their own version of the story. Below are their attempts.
So here we have it. The result of our exploration. (mess making) Scenes depicting the early starts and late ends of the farmers of the region.
The ability to scrape paint across paper using an Oyster card or a New Zealand driver's licence was a revelation to the children. Hopefully this will help to unlock the creativity within the panthers.
By the way the panthers would like to thank parents for their support for the Puppet Theatre trip. The children will need a packed lunch on Monday.
We're a class of year 3/4 children from Kenninghall in Norfolk.
