Literacy improvements

This is always a good title! After revising the better pieces of work and reminding ourselves on what makes a quality sentence we did a sterling job of putting together sentences of three clauses and conjuction that included some powerful verbs. Here are quite a few:
  • The cat looked at the fish, looked at the turtle and licked his lips.
  • The miserable boy walked to Mrs Cole's house, looked around and looked at the broken gate.
  • The dog peed on the wall, felt nervous and shook his legs.
  • The man gripped his handlebars, leaned forwards and screamed down the street like lightning.
  • The cat who was trying to catch the shimmery fish, licked his lips and plunged his claws into the water.
  • The boy walked down the street, looked at the door and hid behind the wall.
  • The boy followed his mum to Mrs Cole's house, bit his bottom lip and grumbled quietly.
  • The boy followed his mum anxiously to Mrs Cole's house, knocked on the door and waited nervously.
  • The baby lay naked on the sofa, lifted weights and laughed at everyone.
  • The boy ran to Mrs Cole's house, stared at the window and slowly made it to the door.
  • Archie knelt on the floor, scrubbed as hard as he could and felt sad.
  • The boy stood in the lounge, looked at Mrs Cole and felt happy.
  • Mrs Cole opened the door, smiled from ear to ear and bellowed until the windows shook.
  • The dog wondered where his owner was, stood next to a shimmering bright light and felt terrified.
  • The cat sat on the table, looked at the turtle in the bowl and tried to kill it.
